Between the 18th and 25th August 2018, a group of visitors from Duisburg arrived in Portsmouth.
They were in 2 coaches and stayed at the University of Portsmouth's Rees Hall, just off Southsea Common and ideally suited to hear the first night of Victorious on the Friday evening!
During their visit the went off to Kew Gardens in London. Hastings and Arundel.
We organised a meal in The Brewhouse and Kitchen - The White Horse in Southsea, just a few metres from their accommodation on the Wednesday evening and invited people from the twinning committee and the German Speakers in Portsmouth Facebook Group.
Here are some photos of our get-together in the White Horse.
On the Friday morning they were welcomed by The Lord Mayor, myself, Honorary Alderman Syd Rapson and Phyllis Rapson, Cllr Steve Pitt, Cllr Claire Udy and Cllr Jeanette Smith and former Lord Mayor Elaine Baker for a reception at the Guildhall in the Lord Mayor's Banqueting Suite.
Here are some photos of this event.
