In order to promote the twinning activities between Portsmouth and Caen, we used many online platforms to promote our activities, one such platform is this website. I will most certainly be using it to call for interested volunteers when we relaunch the Duisburg-Portsmouth Committee.
I am particularly intrigued in it's approach and thought I would share it with you as it may be of interest to you too.

Helpfulpeeps is an online community where people share their time, skills and knowledge to help each other for free.
Ask for help when you want and help others when you can.
All help is given free of charge – there's no transaction or exchange. It's just good old-fashioned community help.
The community of people on this website in our city of Portsmouth is growing, so today I thought I would add a link to our homepage for people to sign up and join in the free online community, where people share their skills and help each other out, just like people did in the 'good old days'.
As with all things, remember to be careful with information you share on the site. The one rule is everything is free...
