Steve Beckerley has been welcoming visitors from Duisburg for around 10 years now and has, of course been welcomed there many times.

My first visit to Duisburg in 2007
An amusing incident on my first visit to Duisburg in 2007, on a visit to the Möhnesee, everyone was disembarking from the ship and I popped in to use the loo, did not time this well, and everyone had disembarked as I left toilet. The Captain very kindly drove the ship back to shore to let me disembark.
A visit from Duisburg to Portsmouth in 2008
Sunday 20th July, the late Rosemary Collings and myself hosted Helmut and Hannelore Richter,. After a round of Pitch and Putt on the seafront and lunch in the Eastney Tavern, we took them to the Marines Museum at Eastney and watched a free open air concert. We ended the day with a snack in Mozarella Joe's.

2013 – Holiday - out and about in Duisburg, Renata Erle took us out in her car for a couple of days, and gave us a very informative tour of Duisburg. Then we had a day out with Karl Heinz Kunz, who took Lore, Monika and myself to Xanten and Kevelaer.
